What's in the box
On by default, with a per-site allow toggle when a page needs it — right from the shield badge in the toolbar.
One master password unlocks everything else. Save, autofill and manage logins, addresses and payment cards without a third-party extension.
Backed by the OS's own incognito profile — real isolation, marked with its own violet tint right in your normal window.
No second browser engine shipped inside the app, and idle background tabs sleep until you come back to them. Kite stays out of your RAM's way.
Bookmarks, history and settings are encrypted with your master password and synced through a folder Dropbox, Drive, OneDrive or Nextcloud already keeps in step. No Kite server in the middle.
Camera, microphone, location and notification answers are kept for the site you gave them to, so you're asked once and not again.
Keep the tab strip along the top or move it to a sidebar you can drag to any width, and jump straight to an open tab by title or URL with Ctrl+K. Session restore, favicons, a bookmarks bar, history and downloads all behave the way they should.
